The ESOP XLIV main venue is Collegium Minus, the main building of Adam Mickiewicz University (https://www.amu.edu.pl/en). Street address: 1 Wieniawskiego Street (map).

The meeting will take place in room XVII (room named in honour of prof. Ludwika Izabela Dobrzyńska-Rybicka), which is the spacious auditorium with a capacity of up to 160 people, located on the first floor of Collegium Minus. Please follow the “ESOP XLIV” signs.
The venue is located within 7 minutes walking distance from the Mercure Hotel. Both places are near the Kaponiera roundabout and Poznań main railway station. The historic city centre with
the Old Market Square is also within walking distance (20 minutes on foot, map).
The welcome reception on Friday (22 August) will take place at the Astronomical Observatory Institute (https://www.astro.amu.edu.pl/en/) street address: 36 Słoneczna Street (map).
The institute can be easily reached by a 10-minute tram ride from the city centre (+ 10 minutes walk). Please note that the entrance is at the back of the building (photo below).
In case of nice weather, the garden reception with bonfire is planned, and in case of rain, the standing reception will be in the Institute lecture room. A show of historic astronomical instruments is also planned.
Note: Institute main dome, housing Zeiss refractor, is currently under renovation, so it is unavailable for visitors.

Attention, tram cancellations:
Due to major road renovations in the city centre, many tram lines are cancelled.
The best way to reach our institute for Friday reception from the Mercure hotel is to take a bus number 169 from Kaponiera roundabout eastern part (from joint tram and bus stop) to Teczowa street.
Alternatively, there is a substitute tram number 96 from the vicinity of Sheraton hotel in Bukowska street to the stop named Grochowska.
